Stretching about 200 meters just right outside the main gate of Kawasaki Daishi temple, there is an age-old traditional rock sweets shop, an arrowroot dessert parlor, and a lucky pot-bellied Daruma doll merchants that's a sight; “oh, can you hear the rhythmical beats being pounded out on the taiko?”
Gaze as our shops mannequins chop out chunks of rock sweets right before your eyes.
Every July we host a wind chime bazaar, where wind chimes from all around the country compete in magical song.
Buy a fortune souvenir or even a pot-bellied Dharma doll and become that lucky person you've always wanted to be. Pop in and choose from hundreds of our Daruma dolls....cross your fingers!
You can hear the whack, thwack rhythms coming from this shop and it's a welcoming sound. Rock sweets are the arcade's beloved symbol. Press it between fingers and then pop it in your mouth! Mmmmm, delicious!
In the vicinity of the arcade about 10 shops line the street, and Kuzu mochi is Kawasaki Daishi's icon. Thinly sliced slabs of arrowroot rice cake, soy flour, and molasses never tasted so lovely.
We take every detailed step of our rice cracker broiling and soy sauce basting very seriously. As our special sauce seeps over the toasty rice cake, your taste buds will go into a state of shock.
The “ladies' favorite” on arcade avenue would have to be the special Kuzu mochi sundae. Served in a regular cone cup, the harmony of soft serve ice cream in a rich flavor, arrowroot rice cake, and molasses topping is irresistible.
You'll be sorry if you don't drop by. Tempura is synonymous with sushi in Japan, we use the most premium class of sesame frying oil, and all of our fish are caught fresh daily.
Generations old soba noodle restaurants dot the vicinity of Kawasaki Daishi temple. A taste only a master craftsman can achieve and an absolutely perfect balance of buckwheat aroma and noodles you can sink your teeth into.
